The ORCA 15 takes camping in 2022 to a new level. Built for the adventurous family, it's a must-have for camping lovers who dare to try out new things. 1. Sturdy Construction
With a body length of 4.7m and width of 2.2m including the awning, the ORCA 15 is quite spacious. The frame is built from a hail and dent-resistant aluminium box with smooth skin, built around a hot dipped galvanised steel chassis which has been manufactured as a single piece. The hinges are of high quality and are sealed to the frame with sealed doors and adjustable latches.
Included inside is a large toolbox with storage big enough to house a generator and dual 3.7kg LPG bottles. The caravan itself has a protective stone guard and protective checker-plate panelling while the water tanks have steel checker-plate protection.
2. Utilities are sure to be utilised
There are no frills when it comes to ORCA products unless said frills actually have some real-world use cases. We build our caravans around things that campers would actually need and use, as we understand the importance of maximising space and use for various camping scenarios.
On the roof, we have a roof-mounted air conditioner as well as a rooftop solar power system. The caravan is lit externally and internally by LED lights, as they do not consume as much power to get as bright as other forms of lighting.
To be water-wise, a 12V water pump with an external switch, dual 110-litre blue poly water tanks for where the drinking water is housed as well as a 70litre poly tank for grey water. There are also two secure water filling points, and the ORCA 15 has 8mm NITTO fittings for high-pressure water connectivity with hoses included and this can be connected to the truma gas water system. The ORCA 15 comes with an internal en-suite with a cassette toilet and shower head. Lastly, there is a mains connector for mains pressure and located on the drawbar, you will find the twin jerry can holders as well.
3. Domestic comforts, outdoors
An RV should be your home outside your home, so what is a home without any comforts? Orca has installed everything the modern camper might need to make the most out of their camping experience without feeling homesick.
Food prep is important and to help make it as convenient as possible, the ORCA 15 comes with a stainless steel kitchen basin with cold/hot mixer tap functionality. The slide out external kitchen makes it perfect for outdoor meal prep and built into it is a stainless steel basin for easy cleaning, a gas stove top, a storage rack, utensil drawers and a table extension. The gas stove top itself is a high quality domestic 4-burner gas stove top, so say goodbye to waiting for one pot at a time cooking. Internally, there is a dinette with comfortable seating and an adjustable table.
Inside you will find large, double-glazed windows with internal screens and block out blinds to allow a lot of natural light to filter through during the day, but not so much as to be overbearing. The main bed is king sized with a high quality mattress, and there are also bunk beds – a fold away top bunk as well as a convertible lounge seat bottom bunk. For storage, there is a full width storage compartment for pole storage, and for domestic storage there is an extensive collection of under-bed, overhead and kitchen storage capacity.
When it's time to lounge about, take advantage of the 19” LED TV with a 12V power-boosted aerial, as well as the stereo speaker system with built-in DVD player.
